British Chevening Scholarships (UK)

The British Chevening Scholarships scheme is worth £30,000, and it supports outstanding individuals from countries outside of Britain to undertake postgraduate study at a UK university.

It is administered by British Council and has been helping develop global leaders since 1962. Out of over 2,500 nominations received every year, approximately 250 Scholarships are awarded annually to outstanding candidates who show leadership potential and are committed to building strong bilateral relations between their country and Britain.

DAAD Scholarships with Relevance to Developing Countries (Germany)

The German Academic Exchange Service awards fully-funded scholarships to outstanding undergraduate and graduate students from Developing Countries. Scholarships cover living expenses, travel costs, and tuition fees.

Applications are accepted twice a year: once for undergraduate studies, and once for graduate studies.

Danish Government Scholarships for Non-EU/EEA Students (Denmark)

The Danish Government offers a number of fully-funded scholarship opportunities for non-EU/EEA students looking to study in Denmark. These grants, known as DAWAs (Danmarks Akademiske Verdenarbejdsløshedskasse or Danish Academic World Unemployment Fund), can be used by eligible candidates to pay off their tuition fees and accommodation, with an amount set aside each month to cover living expenses.

Holland Scholarships (Holland)

You can apply for these scholarships at any time of year, as long as you are applying to study outside of your home country.

These fully-funded one-year awards provide either €2,250 or €3,800 per month for a student to study abroad (whichever is most favorable), along with flight allowances, health insurance, and visa assistance.

In exchange, recipients must agree to work at least 20 hours per week on top of their studies.

Italian Government Bursaries for Foreign Students (Italy)
Every year, thousands of Italian government bursaries are awarded to foreigners who wish to pursue their studies in Italy.

Students from non-EU countries may be eligible for full or partial financial support from The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Italy).

Eligible fields include Engineering, Medicine, Humanities, Arts, and Sciences. To qualify for an Italian government scholarship you must prove that you have applied to a university located in Italy, submitted all required documents, and attended all necessary admissions interviews.

Government of Austria Scholarships

Austria is home to eight universities that are recognized among the world’s top 200 by QS World University Rankings, and Austrian students take part in some of Europe’s most prestigious study abroad programs.

Study-abroad opportunities abound across Austria and its neighboring countries, but one of its most notable is a fully-funded scholarship for international students.

The Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science, and Research (BMBWF) has announced that it will offer two fully-funded doctoral scholarships to applicants from outside of Europe, who meet Austria’s admission requirements.

The scholarship includes a monthly stipend of 3,840 euros (~US$4,455), full tuition fees, and a travel grant to support up to two trips back home per year.

The scholarship is open to applicants from any country outside of Europe except Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or South Africa.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarship

This program is a scholarship program funded by European Union. The countries from which you can get fully-funded study programs are France, Italy, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

These countries also offer study opportunities through partner institutions in Africa and Asia. Students can apply to one of these programs once every two years.
